Caught in the middle is the first full album that I ever put together. The final process of selecting and ordering the tracks was done solo, but I couldn’t have done the album without the support I got. At the time, I was still in high school, and I knew a couple of guys that could rap, a few guys that could make beats, and a few guys that could do both. So I decided to put the album together. Over the previous year I recorded and messed around with a few tracks, but nothing substantial and nothing officially released. There are two version of this album, but this is the one that stood the test of time.
My album artwork was a concept that my friend helped me capture, done by Raze. The album featured beats and production by some of the heads I knew locally, and they included: J-Aks, Forensikk, Orthodox Insanity, Fundemental, and a beat produced by myself. The album also featured a clip from a freestyle session with n8SUM (IG @n8SUM). There were also a few feature verses and collaboration joints on the album. Exacto, Forensikk, and Damien each contributed verses to my album.
This is the album that started it all. You can hear a mixture of an angry teen that doesn’t quite know how to express himself, and a reflective, compassionate poet, with a clever ruse in front of him. I am happy when I look back at this album, even the tracks that I know could be much tighter have a place in helping me develop.
NOTE – THIS ALBUM IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN MP3 FORMAT
